The mobile application complements the CMS web platform, offering residents of gated compounds a convenient and personalized experience. The app enables residents to submit service requests, view announcements, manage payments, and receive updates from compound administrators — all from their phones. Built with React Native, the app is designed for speed and simplicity while maintaining feature parity with key web functionalities. It focuses exclusively on the resident role, ensuring that the experience is optimized for mobile use, clarity, and daily reliability.
I personally handled:
- Designing the mobile flow for residents to log issues, track progress, and receive responses in real time.
- Implementing in-app notifications for announcements, service updates, and community polling features.
- Integrating Firebase Auth for secure logins and user-based state persistence.
- Building with offline-first design considerations to ensure functionality in lower-connectivity environments.
- Writing efficient, modular components to support future feature expansion like event creation, emergency alerts, and compound ride coordination.
